Through our partnership with MAP International, DLC Laboratories is committed to helping people around the world who don’t always have access to the vital medicines they need.
In the aftermath of 2010’s devastating earthquake in Haiti, DLC Laboratories donated thousands of bottles of medicine to the relief cause. This was part of MAP’s massive $20 million support effort there, which proved so vital to a country in the midst of a catastrophe.
DLC’s contributions to MAP have included children’s pain and fever medication, which is earmarked for a variety of countries in need such as Guatemala, India, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2014, DLC Laboratories contributed financially to the drive to get protective equipment to the Ebola stricken areas of West Africa.
The work of MAP is impressive. Founded in 1954, MAP has been a world leader in distributing medicines and medical supplies through their network of hospitals, clinics and relief center dispensaries in over 100 countries. Each year MAP provides more than $250 million in supplies where they are needed most.
Notably, the variety of quality products that DLC manufactures—First Aid, Nutritional Supplements, Medicinal, Skin & Hair Care—are in constant demand in underdeveloped parts of the globe, and are an important part of MAP’s philanthropic efforts.
In addition to its many medical aid efforts abroad, MAP provided mobile health clinics that became a true lifeline for residents of Louisiana and Mississippi after the area was hit so hard by Hurricane Katrina.
DLC Laboratories is proud to support the outstanding work of MAP, and is pleased to play a role in their worldwide efforts to save lives and improve the quality of life of those most in need.
