Important Ocusan® Product Alert

We have identified counterfeit Ocusan® Redness Relief and Dry Eyes drops in stores in Florida, North Carolina and Georgia, and they may be in other states. This product was not made or distributed by DLC Laboratories and may be unsafe to use. We are working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to address the issue.

Do not use Ocusan® if you see:

Why this matters

Eye drops must be sterile. Drops that aren't can cause serious bacterial or fungal eye infections, which can lead to vision loss. We don't know what is inside the counterfeit product and cannot confirm that it is safe.

If you have the fake product

  1. Stop using it right away.Don't put any more drops in your eyes or anyone else's.
  2. Keep the bottle and box.Please don't throw them away yet. They may help the investigation.
  3. Contact us.Tell us the name and address of the store where you bought it. Our staff speaks Spanish.

If you used the fake drops and have eye pain, redness, irritation, discharge, or changes in your vision, see a doctor right away. Bring the bottle with you if you can.

You can also report problems to the FDA's MedWatch program at fda.gov/medwatch or 1-800-FDA-1088.

How to tell real Ocusan® from fake

Check both the box and the bottle. Real Ocusan® has English packaging and a white cap.

Any Ocusan® with an expiration date after 2027 is not authentic. DLC Laboratories has not shipped Ocusan® since January 2025.

Is the real Ocusan® safe to use?

Yes. Ocusan® in English packaging with a white cap, a barcode on the bottom of the box and an expiration date of 09/2027 or earlier is authentic and is not affected by this alert. Use it as directed until it expires.
