De La Cruz 100% Pure Vegetable Glycerin is an excellent treatment for damaged hair and dry, cracked skin.

FAQ
What's the best way to store the product?

We recommend you store the product at room temperature, with the cap tightly closed. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. These measures will help extend the quality of the product.

What is the expiration date?

Vegetable Glycerin is highly stable, and the product will be best up to 3 years after the manufacturing date. See our storage recommendations to maximize quality of the oil.

Can Vegetable Glycerin go rancid?

Pure Glycerin is stable and cannot go easily rancid. The storage conditions are important though. The container must be kept sealed at room temperature because Glycerin can easily absorb water from moisture in the air. If there is more water in the bottle, there is more opportunity for bacteria to proliferate.

How is your Vegetable Glycerin made?

Vegetable Glycerin is made by steam hydrolysis of fatty acids derived from plant-based materials at high temperature. The split fatty acids are pre-concentrated through water evaporation to obtain crude glycerin, which then is further refined to achieve high purity.

Is Vegetable Glycerin refined?

Yes.

What does "USP grade" mean?

It means we comply with the purity and quality standards set by the United States Pharmacopeia Convention (USP), a nonprofit scientific organization. They develop strict standards that ensure stability, safety, and efficacy of the chemical(s) used in medicines and other articles. For more information on the U.S Pharmacopeia Convention, please visit: https://www.usp.org/about

Can Vegetable Glycerin be heated?

We do not recommend you heat Glycerin unless it's necessary for specific applications. The oxidation or rancidity rate will accelerate due to high temperature.

Can Vegetable Glycerin be ingested?

Although our Vegetable Glycerin is food grade and fit for human consumption, it is intended for cosmetic use on the skin, hair or nails. It does not have nutrition facts on the label.

What happens if I don't replace the cap on the bottle?

When Vegetable Glycerin remain open without the cap, oxidation will occur more quickly.

Is there any added fragrance?

No.

Warnings

Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Do not use if plastic seal around cap is missing or broken.
