De La Cruz 100% Pure Rosehip oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of Rosa canina (also called “Dog Rose”), grown and nurtured in the dramatic landscapes of Chile.
This oil is a true dermatological wonder and can help make skin nourished and radiant! Rosehips naturally abound in Vitamin C, as well as Vitamins E, B, and K. These fatty oils support the production of collagen, the building block of skin.
We love that it’s a mild oil and absorbs quickly. It doesn’t clog pores so it’s suitable for sensitive skin too.

Apply a few drops of Rosehip oil on your face and neck before going to bed. Try on its own or blend with another carrier oil such as Argan oil. It is an unusually rich and nourishing oil, and a little goes a long way!
Apply several drops of Rosehip oil directly to scalp and massage it in. Leave on for 30 to 60 minutes and then wash hair with your regular shampoo.
Rosa canina (Rosehip) Oil from Chile
Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. These measures will help extend the quality of the oil. After opening, we recommend you store the product in the refrigerator, with the cap tightly closed.
Our carrier oils generally don't have an expiration or best by date. The shelf life can vary widely among oils. The unrefined Rosehip oil we use is less stable than Jojoba or Argan oil for example; because of this it's best to use our oil within 90 days of opening. See our storage recommendations to maximize quality of the oil.
Yes, it can. As stated above our oil is unrefined and thus inherently less stable. If the oil develops an unpleasant odor, discard and do not use.
The oil is cold-pressed, meaning expeller-pressed at minimized pressure and without using heat. The rosehip seeds are mechanically light-pressed, causing the crude oil to run out. Cold pressing is one of the best methods because it maximizes the purity of the oil. Mechanical extraction is a greener and healthier way of making oil because it doesn't use any chemical additives (solvents), meaning no chemical residues. Once the crude oil is extracted, it is filtered and then finally packed.
No. Our Chilean Rosehip oil is unrefined.
No! Unrefined, cold-pressed oil is orange. Refined Rosehip oil has some of its color and odor bearing constituents stripped away, leading it to have a clear or yellow color. Although refined Rosehip oil has a longer shelf life it does not contain all the nutrients of the unrefined product.
We do not recommend you heat carrier oils unless it's necessary for specific applications. The oxidation or rancidity of the carrier oil will speed up due to high temperature.
Although some of our carrier oils are food grade and fit for human consumption, they are intended for cosmetic use on skin, hair or nails. They therefore do not have nutrition facts on the labels and may not have an expiration date. We recommend you do not ingest the oils or cook with them.
When carrier oils remain open without the cap, oxidation will occur more quickly.
No.
Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Do not use if plastic seal around cap is missing or broken.
