In all vegetable oils, fatty acids are major components. We can find fatty acids in Coconut oil too. For this reason, we call it an oil. The way these fatty acids are structured influence the melting point of the oil. Without getting too technical, the longer the chain of fatty acids, the higher melting point. Coconut oil has longer chains of fatty acids than many vegetable oils, so it needs higher temperatures to melt.

Can your Coconut Oil be heated?

Yes, you can heat Coconut Oil to liquefy it or to use for cooking. Coconut oil naturally melts at approximately 76Ëš F. Oil will return to solid when cooled. Do not microwave in original container.

Should I refrigerate your Extra Virgin Coconut Oil?

No, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is highly stable and does not require refrigeration. In addition, it would be become quite hard.
